Terms of Service

1. Agreement to Terms

By installing, accessing, or using the Write Like Me Google Docs™ add-on ("Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree to these Terms, do not use the Service.

2. Description of Service

Write Like Me is an AI-powered Google Docs™ add-on that learns your unique writing style from training examples, generates content in your voice, and rewrites selected text to match your style.

3. Account Registration

To use the Service, you must have a valid Google account, grant required permissions, provide accurate information, and be at least 13 years of age. You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account and any API keys you provide.

4. Subscription Plans and Pricing

Subscription fees are billed in advance via Stripe. Prices are in USD and exclude applicable taxes.

4.3 Refund Policy

Subscriptions: Refunds available within 7 days of initial purchase if you have used fewer than 5 generations. After 7 days or 5 generations, no refunds; access continues until end of billing period.

BYOK License: Non-refundable once purchased.

5. Acceptable Use

You agree NOT to use the Service to generate illegal or harmful content, violate laws, infringe intellectual property, generate spam or malware, impersonate others, reverse engineer the Service, abuse usage limits, or share your account or API keys.

6. Fair Use Policy (Business Plan)

"Unlimited" is subject to fair use for individual power users; excessive automated usage may be reviewed.

7. Intellectual Property

You retain ownership of your training examples, generated content, and writing style profile. We retain ownership of the Write Like Me software, trademarks, and branding. You grant us a limited license to process your training examples to provide the Service; we do not share your individual content with or use it to train models for other users.

8. Third-Party Services

The Service relies on Google Workspace™, OpenAI, and Stripe. We are not responsible for their actions or policies.

9. BYOK Terms

If you use BYOK, you are responsible for your OpenAI API costs and must comply with OpenAI's terms. We are not responsible for charges on your OpenAI account.

10. Disclaimer of Warranties

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND. We do not warrant uninterrupted or error-free service or that generated content will be accurate or suitable. You are responsible for reviewing all generated content.

11. Limitation of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, WE SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES. OUR TOTAL LIABILITY SHALL NOT EXCEED THE AMOUNT YOU PAID US IN THE 12 MONTHS PRECEDING THE CLAIM.

12. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify Write Like Me and its affiliates from claims arising from your use of the Service, violation of these Terms, or violation of third-party rights.

13. Termination

You may cancel via the Stripe customer portal or by contacting support. We may suspend or terminate access for violation of Terms, fraud, or non-payment. Upon termination, your access ends and you may request data deletion; certain sections survive.

14. Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms by posting the new version and updating the "Last Updated" date; significant changes may be communicated by email. Continued use constitutes acceptance.

15. General Provisions

Governed by the laws of the State of Alabama, U.S. Disputes resolved by binding arbitration (AAA rules); either party may seek injunctive relief in court. Severability and entire agreement with Privacy Policy apply.
